Saratoga Victorian Streetwalk

Thursday night, November 30, 2006 marks the twentieth year the Saratoga Springs Downtown Business Association presents the Victorian Streetwalk from 6 to 10 PM.

This year Broadway will close once again from 5:00 to 10:00 from the Rte 50 arterial to just north of Washington St. Susan L. Farnsworth, Victorian Streetwalk coordinator says that this years events will be grander than even last year. We are hoping for a great Christmas season starting with our annual Victorian Streetwalk.

CDTA is running a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes from the Saratoga Springs RR and the NYRA parking lot by exit 14 from 4:30 until 10:30.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be taking all Christmas wishes at the beautiful Santa Cottage in front of the Putnam Market. Children can also visit Santa's live reindeer by the cottage.

The Saratoga City Ballet will be performing solos from the Nutcracker at the Children's Museum, Caroline St. The Gingerbread House will be at the Arts Center. The "Festival of Trees" sponsored by Catholic Charities is at the City Center, Broadway.

Special Victorian Streetwalk postal cancellations are available at the Broadway Post Office from 5 to 9 PM. Bring your stamped Christmas cards and get them cancelled with the special Victorian Streetwalk cancellation.

A plethora of bands, food, merchants and strolling carolers will be there to entertain all.
