Peaches caf is a marvelous eatery. It is a full-service restaurant that features breakfast, lunch, light dinners, and some of the finest dessert in the Capital District. The ambiance at Peaches Caf is friendly, modern and inviting. Upon entering, there is a dessert case to your left that houses some of the most heavenly-looking creations you would ever hope to see. Next to the dessert case is a granite counter and seating so you can grab a quick bite, or indulge in a decadent delight. On the other side of the restaurant is the seating area. Each table has a contemporary pendant light hanging over it, and the carpet has a subtle circular pattern. Peaches Caf has a tasteful dcor that has a nice feeling to it.
The menu at Peaches Caf is varied, and has all kinds of awesome choices. If breakfast is what you're looking, for there are waffles, pancakes, French toast, eggs, omelets and more. Trust me, you'll have trouble figuring out what kind of waffle, pancakes, or eggs you desire, as there are so many options. If you go to Peaches for lunch or a light dinner, you will also have plenty to choose from. There are appetizers, soups, quiches, salads, wraps, sandwiches, paninis, burgers, and the list goes on. The peaches dessert menu is not to be believed.
My companion and I recently had an excellent light dinner at Peaches Caf. My companion ordered chicken Florentine, which was a special that evening. I ordered a cup of New England clam chowder to start with, and a grilled chicken breast sandwich. My New England clam chowder was first-rate, and as a native Bostonian I know a good clam chowder. It was a hearty soup, creamy and rich with lots of clams, and nicely seasoned. My grilled chicken sandwich was a total delight. It consisted of chicken breast, avocado, Swiss cheese, and roasted pepper mayonnaise all served on basil focaccia bread. The sandwich came with a choice of cole slaw or potato chips. I went with the slaw, as I was already checking out what I wanted for dessert. My sandwich was bursting with flavor; I savored every bite. My dinner companion thoroughly enjoyed his chicken Florentine, as well. It was a chicken breast with spinach, onion, and mozzarella cheese served over rice. My companion's dinner came with a salad of beautiful greens. All of the ingredients in our dishes were fresh and of the highest quality.
Even though I was totally satisfied with my meal, I could not leave without having dessert. If you want to talk about choicesthe dessert menu is insane! With gourmet ice-cream sundaes, frappes, banana coconut cake, mud cake, carrot cake, chocolate silk layer cake, chocolate peanut butter mousse cake, lemon raspberry cake, all sorts of cheesecake and tarts, it is virtually impossible to decide. I reined myself in a bit, and decided that I didn't need a piece of mud cake at 8:30 in the evening. Instead, I had a pumpkin cream cheese bar that I just loved. The crust was buttery goodness, and the filling was dreamy.
Peaches Caf offers high-quality food, terrific service and moderate prices. A trip to Peaches will never disappoint.
