Ravenswood is a popular Clifton Park eatery and pub that offers consistently good food at reasonable prices in a fun, friendly setting. It's a wonderful place to meet friends, or enjoy a great meal out with the family, without breaking the bank.

The dcor at Ravenswood is relaxed and casual. From the knotty pine booths and tables to the stone fireplace and the scenes of Clifton Park adorning the walls, it's all very comfortable. I should also tell you that there are televisions in the front and rear of the dining room that are all sports, all the time. Ravenswood's menu features light meals. They are known for their excellent homemade soups and awesome wings. There are all kinds of yummy appetizers, and their selection of entrees includes burgers, wraps, salads, grilled sandwiches, south of the border, Italian dishes, fried seafood entrees, and more. Every Monday through Thursday evening there is an all-you-can-eat dinner special.

We began our dinner with a crock of their homemade soup. The soup of the evening was chicken Florentine. It was thick, rich, creamy and delicious, with large chunks of chicken breast, spinach and red peppers. Their soup did not disappoint, and was perfect on a chilly autumn evening. For our entrees, I ordered the basic burger and my dinner companion had the all-you-can-eat beef fajitas. My burger was 8 ounces of beef (before charbroiling) served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, all served on a Kaiser roll, with a side order of French fries. I have to let you in on a secret. With all of the phenomenal restaurants that I dine in and the incredible dishes I have eaten, I still love a good burger, and this one definitely was! The burger was juicy and mouthwatering, and it was cooked just how I like it: a bit pink on the inside. The beef was high-quality, fresh and very flavorful. The beer batter fries were a real lip-smacking treat. My companion was equally as pleased with his beef fajitas, a sizzling plate with marinated beef (or chicken, if you prefer) cooked with onions and bell peppers, accompanied by warm tortillas and all the fixings. Again, the beef was terrific. It was tender, fresh, and nicely seasoned. We were both very happy with our meals, and enjoyed every bite. I decided that I had to try one of their sinful desserts. There were quite a few luscious concoctions to choose from, such as chocolate truffle cake, chocolate peanut butter pie, Oreo cookie bash, and strawberry shortcake, but I decided on the white chocolate cheesecake with raspberry swirl. It was silky, smooth, heavenly goodness.

Our night at Ravenswood was fabulous: super food, exemplary service, and plentiful portions at reasonable prices. Ravenswood is an all-around winner!
